Nirrumbuk Environmental Health and Services – Broome WAThis role provides support coordination to NDIS participants and assist them in achieving the goals set out in their NDIS plans.The Support Coordinator's task is to build capacity through NDIS plan implementation, including managing informal, mainstream, community and funded supports.Assist participants with a coaching approach to capacity building.Engage with participants, their supports and relevant third parties in a professional manner.The person we are seeking will be passionate about supporting individuals to live their best lives, have exceptional administration, organisational and leadership skills.The role will be part time initially, with the capacity to increase based on demand.The role is based in Broome, however travel to remote communities may be required.Essential Skills, Knowledge and QualificationsKnowledge and experience in NDIA Support Coordination, Client Directed Care, Disability Services and the NDIS field and/or relevant experienceKnowledge of the NDIS and local community sector organisationsThorough understanding and commitment to NDIS Practice Standards, Work Health and Safety and Equal OpportunityDemonstrated knowledge, understanding and appreciation of Aboriginal culture and/or experience in working with Aboriginal peopleDemonstrated ability to build high quality relationships with external service providers and participants formal and informal supportsRelevant qualification in the health or welfare sector (Certificate IV or above)Current driver's license and a willingness to driveWorking with Children CheckNDIS Disability Worker screening clearancePosition Description available on request, please email ****** #J-18808-Ljbffr
