The Diversity and Inclusion Engagement Officer role sits within the Diversity and Inclusion team as part of the Organisational Development Branch.
This role provides exposure to a broad range of D&I portfolios including disability access and inclusion, inclusive recruitment, gender equality, LGBTIQA+, multicultural and multi-faith communities, and more.This role provides an opportunity to learn and grow while engaging with a range of stakeholders to recognise days of significance, assist with delivering events, develop multimedia campaigns, coordinate workplace adjustments for DEECA staff, and provide administrative support to the Diversity and Inclusion team.The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, stakeholder management experience, understand the importance of promoting inclusion, and demonstrate outcomes thinking.
This role operates in a dynamic environment where the work changes from day to day.

A demonstrated understanding of how diversity and inclusion policies and programs are delivered and a strong commitment to enhancing an inclusive culture across large organisations is vital.Specialist/Technical Expertise/Qualifications Demonstrated understanding of how Diversity and Inclusion policies and programs are delivered with a track record of success in supporting implementation and stakeholder management.Proven capability as a self-starter and an ability to effectively undertake work independently or as part of a team.Strong commitment to enhancing an inclusive culture across a large and diverse organisation.This is a fixed term position available for a period of 12 months.
