Due to internal promotion, we are looking for a Foreman to join our new Liberty Street facility in Cairns, the largest CRG centre in Far North Queensland! Become a vital part of Hastings Deering's next chapter and join our team today! This is a Permanent, Monday to Friday role.
As a Foreman, you will:
1. Provide leadership, guidance, and coaching to leading hands and fitters.
2. Ensure safety standards are maintained.
3. Provide administrative support to leading hands.
4. Determine target hours for work required and communicate with leading hands.
5. Conduct daily and weekly Departmental meetings and follow up on actionable items.
6. Assist leading hands with diagnostics and failure analysis.
7. Contribute to Continuous improvement ideas and execution of these ideas.
8. Manage changes to schedule and fitter availability when unforeseen absences present.
9. Ensuring maintenance is performed on all fixed plant within the workshop.

About You
A successful teammate will have experience in:
18. Trade qualified with significant post trade experience with CAT or heavy machinery and equipment.
19. Experience in similar role within the mining, mining services and heavy earthmoving industries.
20. Proven and demonstrated experience in mechanical diagnostic skills.
21. Leadership and Supervisory experience with a proven ability to maximize productivity.
22. Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills - both written and verbal.
23. Well-developed planning, time management and scheduling skills and a strong attention to detail.
24. Proven computer skills with experience in AX highly regarded.
