One of our clients, Hawk-Eyes, based in Salisbury North, SA, has a few vacancies for different positions. These are full-time roles in the telecommunications industry for the right applicants. This role is for Engineering Technologist. Please apply for these roles if you think you have the skills and experience.Main Tasks:Assisting in the design and planning of telecommunications networks, including the layout of cables, routers, switches, and other equipment.Integrating various components of the telecommunications network to ensure seamless operation and connectivity.Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of network equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.Identifying and diagnosing issues within the network, such as signal loss, connectivity problems, and equipment malfunctions.Performing repairs or replacing faulty components to restore network functionality.Using specialized tools to monitor the performance of the telecommunications network, ensuring it meets service level agreements and performance standards.Implementing changes and improvements to enhance network performance and efficiency.Working closely with engineers, technicians, and other professionals to ensure the successful implementation and maintenance of telecommunications systems.Providing technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members.Preparing technical reports and documentation to support network management and troubleshooting efforts.Maintaining detailed records of network configurations, maintenance activities, and any issues encountered and resolved.Implementing and adhering to safety protocols to protect workers and the public during network installation and maintenance activities.To Apply For This Position, You Should Have:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electronics, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or a related field.Most occupations in this unit group have a level of skill commensurate with a bachelor degree or higher qualification. In some instances, relevant experience and/or on-the-job training may be required in addition to the formal qualification (ANZSCO Skill Level 1).Proven 3 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in Telecommunications.Strong understanding of engineering principles and technical processes.Proficiency in CAD software and engineering tools.Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.Networking skills and fibre splicing skills.Contract management and procurement experience are preferred.Salary: $75,000 to $85,000 Plus SuperOnly eligible and shortlisted applicants will be contacted.
