Job Opportunity: Surveillance Officer (4-Month Initial Contract)
Location: Regional Local Council
Duration: 4 months Initial
Role Overview: This council is seeking a dedicated and technically savvy Surveillance Officer. This role is primarily onsite and involves inspecting council drainage and roads, working autonomously, and utilising strong written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct thorough inspections of council-managed drainage systems and roadways to ensure they meet safety and quality standards. Identify any issues or areas needing maintenance or repair.
* Manage your tasks independently, making decisions and taking initiative without constant supervision. This includes planning your daily activities and prioritising tasks effectively.
* Develop strong working relationships with contractors and other stakeholders. This involves clear communication, negotiation, and collaboration to ensure projects are completed to the council’s standards.
* Utilise project management skills to oversee and coordinate various infrastructure projects. This includes setting timelines, managing resources, and ensuring projects stay on track and within budget.
* Accurately read and understand civil engineering plans and drawings. Apply this knowledge to assess project requirements and ensure compliance with design specifications.
* Efficiently use council systems, including email and corporate document management systems, to manage communications and documentation. This ensures all records are kept up-to-date and accessible.
Requirements:
