About this Role
As our new Sales Engineer, you will:
* Proactively build and maintain effective business relationships with nominated customer segments operating within the region.
* Provide high-level customer contact via face-to-face, phone, email, video, and digital media.
* Respond to sales enquiries and generate leads.
* Work with Sales Support, Customer Care & MANZAT teams to provide product quotations.
* Follow up on quotations and win orders.
* Generate new opportunities through customer dialog and demand-creation activities (presentations, coordinated marketing, industry events, social media, etc.).
* Proactively research and develop business plans to grow sales and services in the nominated customer segment.
* Conduct analysis and research to gain a full understanding of the customer base and stay on top of market changes, competitors, technology, and industry trends.
* Develop and implement sales plans for the nominated customers and industries in the region.
* Review, evaluate, and report on sales activities and initiatives.
* Ensure strong brand awareness within the nominated customer segment through marketing, advertising, and demand-creation activities.
* Utilise CRM, Outlook, Toolkit, and other supporting infrastructure and business processes as directed.
* Identify and raise opportunities to sell other Rosemount or Emerson products.
Your Skills and Experience
We're looking for someone with:
* Tertiary qualification in an engineering-related field.
* Sales experience in the process control industry.
* Experience and understanding of sales budgeting and forecasting processes.
* Experience working with business systems (CRM, Office, Oracle, etc.).
* Understanding of technical aspects of the business and key business drivers.
