We are seeking a highly motivated, customer-focused engineer. You will undertake maintenance and certification within the scope of authorisation as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer B1.3 – Level 3.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Task Sign-off and Certification of Maintenance within the scope of their authorisation in accordance with AFCAMAN, Book IV, Chapter 3.
* Ensuring compliance with all relevant Warnings, Cautions and Instructions for prescribed tasks.
* Informing the chain of command of any factors that may impair maintenance performance.
* Only operating test and support equipment they are authorised to operate.
* Using only approved and serviceable tools, ground equipment, and materials.
* Adhering to tool control procedures in accordance with AFCAMAN, Book IV, Chapter 8.
* Ensuring serviceability criteria for components and parts are met before fitment.
* Evaluating the adequacy and efficiency of maintenance activities and proposing changes as required.
* Preparing and submitting defective or surplus components for return to stores.
* Completing and submitting associated documentation for support equipment where applicable.
* Ensuring all follow-on maintenance requirements have been identified and documented.
About you:
* Experience in aviation maintenance.
* Demonstrated personnel management and technical leadership skills.
* Knowledge of Human Factors in Maintenance.
* Understanding of hazards, risk, and implementation of controls.
* Ability to build and manage relationships.
* Ability to influence through written and oral communication.
Experience & competencies - essential:
* Knowledge of the requirements of DASRs.
* Competence in planning and leadership.
* Understanding of the continuing airworthiness system.
* Computer literacy to produce, analyse, and interpret complex reports.
* Understanding of WH&S requirements.
Special Requirements:
Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance.
