Responsible for supporting the Reef Authority’s work in relation to the use of science and data in Reef management, the position coordinates the delivery of the Reef Authority’s flagship Eye on the Reef Program and assists in delivering high-quality outcomes for important initiatives such as the Reef 2050 Integrated Monitoring and Reporting Program (RIMReP). A key priority is to deliver, maintain, and enhance the Reef Knowledge System, an initiative of the Reef Authority designed to provide comprehensive information about the Great Barrier Reef's ecosystems that enables resilience-based management of the Reef, and provides managers with an understanding of how the Reef 2050 Long-term Sustainability Plan is progressing.You will work closely with Authority staff, management partners, and stakeholders to scope, design, and develop digital tools and products that contribute to understanding the health and resilience of the Reef and the effectiveness of management actions.
