Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll have the opportunity to provide diverse and meaningful mental health care across a wide range of cases. Your role will involve: Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments Delivering evidence-based psychological interventions Managing crisis presentations, risk assessments, and risk management planning Overseeing case management for both internal and externally referred cases Collaborating with medical and command teams to ensure holistic care About ACT Health Centre You’ll be based at the ACT Health Centre, a large, modern facility that opened in 2021. Located in a key Defence hub, the centre services approximately 7,000 military personnel, including trainee officers from the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) and Royal Military College. This state-of-the-art health centre provides a wide range of medical services, including: Primary medical care Aviation & underwater medical services Nursing, dental, mental health, pharmaceutical, and physiotherapy services A 24-bed low dependency ward operating 24/7 The ACT Health Centre operates Monday to Friday (0700-1630), with specific roles requiring weekend and on-call shifts.
