We are inviting applications for a passionate and skilled LOTE Chinese Teacher who is capable of teaching across our primary and secondary school curriculum.
This is an ongoing full-time position commencing in Term One, 2025.
At Cobram Anglican Grammar School, we believe that learning a language plays a vital role in a well-rounded education.
The successful applicant will be required to teach Chinese across our Junior School (Foundation to Year 6) and Senior School (Year 7 to Year 12).
Importantly, they will also be required to teach Unit 3/4 VCE Chinese Language, Culture and Society. In this subject, students develop an understanding of the language, social structures, traditions and contemporary cultural practices of diverse Chinese-speaking communities. They extend their study of the Chinese language, develop the skills to critically analyse different aspects of the cultures of Chinese-speaking peoples and their communities, and gain insight into the connections between languages, cultures and societies. The language to be studied is Modern Standard Chinese.

Only teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) will be considered for this position.
