Responsibilities
* Ensure Continuous Cane Supply: Manage train schedules and operations to maintain a steady and reliable flow of Sugar Cane to the mill, supporting uninterrupted production.
* Coordination of Train Movement: Oversee the safe and efficient movement of trains on the Pioneer and Kalamia railway networks, adjusting loco schedules as needed.
* Real-Time Digital Monitoring: Use advanced control systems with real-time GPS and automation tools to monitor and manage train movements, ensuring accurate scheduling and avoiding delays.
* Data-Driven Decision Making: Apply big data analytics to predict issues, optimize schedules, and adjust operations based on real-time conditions, enhancing overall efficiency. Monitor and manage team performance.
* Smart Safety Systems: Implement technologies to monitor rail infrastructure and train conditions, ensuring safety and immediate alerts for any abnormalities.
* Personnel Supervision and Training: Supervise staff, manage associated administration, and coordinate on-the-job training for loco crews, ensuring adherence to quality control standards and efficient record-keeping.
* Advanced Communication Tools: Utilize cloud-based platforms and mobile apps for seamless communication with train drivers, production teams, and logistics managers.
* Digital Twin Technology: Employ virtual simulation tools to model and predict operational scenarios, refining control strategies in a risk-free environment.
The Successful Candidate
To thrive in this role, you'll need a solid understanding of rail transport operations, a commitment to safety for yourself and your team, and great communication skills to keep everyone in the loop. You'll be tech-savvy, able to provide accurate performance updates, and adaptable to change as we continually evolve. Plus, an intermediate level of computer skills and a manual 'C' class driver's license are essential.
