Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced, exceptionally organised event manager to join our team on a part-time (4 days a week) 12-month contract.
The chosen candidate will be responsible for ensuring all event programs excite and engage audiences, while creating memorable experiences that align with News Corp Australia's strategy.
As an Event Manager, you will be responsible for the production and flawless execution of events across various brands, predominantly The Courier-Mail, Advertiser, Gold Coast Bulletin and more.
This role is situated within News Corp's dynamic Events and Experiences team.
Our experiential programs lie at the core of the brands we represent, forging emotional and memorable connections with our consumers.
This role is highly fulfilling and suited for those with a proactive, creative and diligent work ethic.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage all end-to-end event production requirements and the seamless activation of virtual and in-person events, primarily focusing on Queensland, South Australia and regional masthead brands.
* Ensure all events are implemented and activated successfully to the customer and client expectations, including the seamless integration of sponsor deliverables.
* Work closely with the Head of Event Marketing and Event Marketing Manager on the development and execution of the experiential growth strategy for key brands.
* Support the Events & Experiences team to deliver the FY25-FY26 events roadmap to achieve the intended campaign goals for each project or masthead.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across different divisions to ensure all events are successfully delivered on brand including C-Suite Executives, Editorial, Sales, Product, and Creative.
* Assist in all end-to-end customer planning and touchpoints to ensure alignment to event strategies.
* Contribute to the post-campaign analysis and reporting, present and implement revised operational learnings after each event.
* Contribute to a culture that is innovative, customer-focused and reflects the News Corp and team values.
About You:
* Ideally 5+ years experience as an Event Manager or Event Producer.
* A passionate project manager with extensive experience in end-to-end project creation and activation of multi-channel campaigns, event management is key.
* Experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders including sponsor management for consumer events.
* An organised leader with excellent time management and attention to detail.
* A confident decision-maker who weighs up alternatives according to their likely impact on the team/function, can work under pressure and react accordingly in environments that can be sensitive and time-pressured.
* Flexibility to travel for event delivery.
* A proactive attitude who is up for any challenge or task.
* Skilled in GSuite.
