About us
We’re InLife, a not-for-profit disability support provider that specializes in working with people with frequent and complex support needs, including 24/7 assistance.
We build teams around every client, depending on each person’s needs and preferences. We partner with people with any type of disability who want to live independently in the community, and we love to make that happen. That’s why our assistants are so important.
Our clients may have physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries, neurological conditions, intellectual disabilities, or autism. We’re honored that many of our clients rely solely on InLife for their essential support needs.
Our teams are based in Melbourne, Geelong, and regional Victoria, including Benalla, Wangaratta, Stawell, and Bendigo.
To do a great job, you’ll need:
o Good judgment and common sense, listening skills, a willingness to learn, and a commitment to our values.
o Experience supporting people with a physical disability, including manual handling.
o Experience providing personal care.
o Great patience and willingness to build rapport with clients.
o Enthusiasm and passion for supporting people with disabilities to live fulfilling lives.
o Commitment to working with a care team approach, including guidance from professionals (e.g., supporting clients to complete a regular physiotherapy program).
o Full driver’s license and willingness to drive clients' vehicles.
o Willingness to work varied shifts, including sleepovers and in-home evening support with home duties required. Commitment to ongoing shifts (more than twice weekly).
o Looking to support clients based in Greendale, Kyneton, Heathcote, and Bendigo.
Please note: When you apply, you will receive an email asking for further details—please look out for it!
As part of our recruitment process, certain checks will be undertaken with your permission, including an NDIS Worker Screening Check that you must have before you can start work.
We encourage all of our staff to be vaccinated for COVID-19, and current recommendations about vaccination can be found on the ATAGI website.
InLife is committed to ensuring the rights, safety, and wellbeing of all children and young people. We have a zero tolerance of child abuse, and every InLife employee has a responsibility to ensure all children and young people are safe and feel safe.
A word about diversity and inclusion
At InLife, diversity and inclusion are part of our DNA. We celebrate the amazing differences we all bring to our work and actively ensure that everyone feels safe and supported in our workplaces.
We welcome and encourage applications from everyone, and our hiring decisions will never be based on gender identity, disability, age, religion, ethnicity, sexual orientation, or cultural background—because they simply aren’t relevant to doing an awesome job.
We also know that we continue to learn more about inclusion every day, so if there is something you think we could do differently to make InLife a place you could picture yourself working, we’re all ears.
