This position is also responsible for working closely with various stakeholders across the CDC Regional Australia Division, including senior management, suppliers and maintenance departments.Reporting to the General Manager NT, the Fleet Manager NT will lead the NT Asset team to provide technical support, expertise, and engineering solutions to ensure the business can achieve its objectives whilst maintaining a high-level safety culture. In addition to this, the Fleet Manager NT will oversee and be responsible for the Workshop Department.About YouTo be successful in this position, you will bring strong leadership and fleet expert-level experience within a large and complex organisation. Experience in a similar environment, specifically with bus experience, will be highly advantageous. You will have a hands-on approach and be closely involved in incident response management and key issues with a potentially high impact on operations.The successful candidate will be required to have:A current and valid NT MR Drivers Licence (minimum)Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic qualification will be highly regardedExtensive knowledge of WHS requirements within a heavy vehicle repair workshopAbility to meet KPIs and budgets, and set KPIs and budgets for the teamAble to effectively use Microsoft Office programs and ERPThe ability to travel interstate and to our remote locations, including Tennant Creek and Alice Springs as requiredGeneral ResponsibilitiesFleet ManagementOversee the development of annual fleet repair and replacement budgets and plans, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and the effective and efficient management of CDC NT fleetProvide specialist technical and engineering advice and strategies to implement asset improvement initiatives which maximises value from CDC Regional fleet and other assetsProvide overall management of all activities relating to fleet managementAbility to travel and work across all CDC NT Depots.
