Kambu Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Corporation for Health (Kambu Health) is a not-for-profit community owned health, human services and education organisation delivering on the unique health and wellbeing needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Ipswich and west Moreton region. We provide primary, allied and specialist health care services for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

About the Role
The Assistant Director supports the Centre Director in the overall leadership of the Centre. The Assistant Director is a senior Educator who will extend their knowledge, expertise, and network of relationships with children, families, and educators. The Assistant Director, in collaboration with the Director, and Kambu Health’s policies, procedures and strategic direction, will assist with team development ensuring high-quality education and care services are delivered.
Within this role, you will also be required to:
* Support the Director in daily operations and assume overall management in Director's absence.
* Adhere to Kambu Health policies, procedures, standards, and Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics.
* Ensure business continuity of a high-quality and safe education and care service.
* Ensure that high-quality early learning programs are designed and delivered.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, Educators, the local business community, and all other stakeholders.
About you
* Hold a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care/Children’s Services.
* Current First Aid and CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificates.
* A current Blue Card.
* Current C Class Driver’s License (QLD).
* Exhibit an extensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Development Framework, National Quality Standards (NQS), and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
* Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Showcase the ability to lead and mentor a team of dedicated early childhood professionals.
* Demonstrate the ability to incorporate critical thinking and reflective practice into daily operations.
