DXC Practice for Oracle is the largest independent provider of Oracle consulting and managed services in Australia and New Zealand. DXC Practice for Oracle provides dynamic technology leadership in delivering Oracle Cloud solutions, with a full continuum of services around Oracle’s integrated suite of applications, platform services, and engineered systems.
The Role
We are seeking an experienced Oracle VBCS/OIC consultant to join our DXC Oracle Practice customer services team in Queensland. This role focuses on providing ongoing support, troubleshooting, and enhancements for customer-facing Oracle PaaS applications, primarily using Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC).
Responsibilities
* Support and maintain Oracle VBCS applications/extensions to ensure business continuity and enhance the application to meet evolving business needs.
* Support and troubleshoot Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) integrations, ensuring data flow and service connectivity between Oracle Cloud applications and third-party systems.
* Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for Oracle PaaS applications, particularly Oracle VBCS and OIC.
* Respond to incidents, service requests, and changes, following defined ITIL processes (incident management, problem management, and change management).
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for all Oracle VBCS applications, integrations, and support processes.
* Collaborate with customer service teams to manage escalations and resolve critical issues.
* Ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs) by delivering timely and high-quality resolutions for all reported issues.
* Assist in root-cause analysis for recurring incidents and implement preventive measures.
* Work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and other IT teams to address technical issues and deliver enhancements.
Key skills and experience:
* Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS): 3-5 years of experience in supporting and enhancing VBCS applications.
* Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC): 5-6 years of experience in managing and troubleshooting OIC integrations, including system performance tuning and issue resolution.
* Experience in Oracle Process Cloud Service (PCS) Experience will be an advantage.
* Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Applications (CX, ERP, HCM) and their interaction with Oracle PaaS services.
* Strong understanding of RESTful services and APIs, with experience in troubleshooting and maintaining them.
* Sound knowledge of developing PLSQL SQL programs
* Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in a technical support or Customer Services role with a focus on Oracle PaaS applications.
* ITIL certification or familiarity with ITIL processes (incident management, problem management, change management).
* Experience working in Agile or IT Service Management (ITSM) environments.
* Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
* Excellent communication skills to interact with both technical teams and non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment while managing multiple priorities.
* Strong team player with the ability to mentor junior team members.
