About the role Network Engineer is to design, implement and maintain network infrastructure to support the organisation's IT needs. This role involves ensuring the performance, security, and reliability of network and cloud systems. The Network Engineer aims to design, implement and maintain resilient network infrastructure which enhances operational efficiency and scalability through effective management of network and cloud technologies Some duties you will undertake: Design, deploy and maintain complex network solutions to meet basic or advanced business requirements, and/or improve overall performance Design and deploy LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including routers, switches, UPSs, and other hardware Develop, implement and maintain documentation for policies, procedures, and associated training plans for network administration, configuration, usage, network mapping, and disaster recovery Configure and troubleshoot networks to ensure their smooth and reliable operation within industry recognized standards of performance, quality and effectiveness, while fulfilling business objectives and processes Monitor network performance and troubleshoot problem areas as needed, remediating the issues professionally and concisely Provide technical support for end users with issues relating to the network. About You As the successful candidate will have: Strong technical knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and cloud services Expertise in configuring and managing network devices and cloud platforms Experience working with network devices and cloud platforms (F5, Cisco IOS, Fortinet, Palo Alto and Telstra Network products etc) Ability to integrate traditional on-premises networking components with cloud services and platforms, including AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Problem-solving and troubleshooting for diagnosing and resolving network and cloud issues Willingness to travel to region/interstate sites to help support network upgrades We offer: A competitive salary package $141,018 superannuation (up to14.5% superannuation) Fortnightly/Monthly RDO and paid leave over Christmas closure.
