Rate & term - $150 per hour including Super | 12 month initial contract | 2x12 month extension options
Location & work arrangements - Must be located in Canberra or Sydney | ~2-3 days in office
Security Clearance - Must be an Australian Citizen | Must have Baseline Security Clearance
Overview
The Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW) requires the services of experienced ICT Project Managers familiar with large application and system development projects, to be embedded in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) division to ensure successful planning and execution of current and future projects.
Key duties and responsibilities
* Manage day-to-day operations of resourcing, scheduling, prioritisation, and task coordination, ensuring project milestones, objectives, and deliverables are met within agreed timeframes and budgets.
* Coordinate and lead cross-functional development teams for application and system build activities.
* Monitor, track, and report on the status of project/program deliverables.
* Ensure schedules, costs, and quality metrics align with approved project plans.
* Track, monitor, and report against project financials.
* Identify and resolve issues.
* Provide administrative and project/program support services to facilitate the delivery of outcomes with relevant stakeholders.
* Ensure alignment with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
* Financial management: Monitor and maintain financial records for compliance and audit, assisting with identifying costs for financial planning and budgeting.
* Organisational change management: Develop change management approaches and plans in collaboration with sponsors, users, and project teams.
* Project management: Take full responsibility for the definition, approach, facilitation, and satisfactory completion of medium-scale projects.
* Requirements definition and management: Define and manage scoping, requirements definition, and prioritisation activities for initiatives of medium size and complexity.
* Stakeholder relationship management: Identify communication and relationship needs of stakeholder groups and facilitate open communication.
