Marist Sion College is situated in Warragul, Gippsland. Warragul is a thriving rural town set amongst rolling green hills and dairy fields, on the lands of the Gunaikurnai and Bunurong People. It is 102 kilometres south-east of Melbourne, accessible directly from the M1 freeway and lies between the Strzelecki Ranges to the south and Mount Baw Baw Plateau to the north.
Following extensive consultation and taking into account our new strategic plan, Marist-Sion College is excited to launch a revised Position of Leadership (POL) Model for our community, which is set to take effect in 2025.

About the role
At Marist-Sion College, the Director of Professional Learning and Development oversees the professional learning plan for the College through a coaching approach. The role has an emphasis on engaging staff with developing and improving their practice as well as supporting graduate and early career teachers and new staff to the College. The Director of Professional Learning and Development leads the work of the Pedagogical Coaches to embed a culture of expert teacher practice.
The successful applicant will be a registered teacher with the Victorian Institute of Teaching. A full-time ongoing teacher contract is offered with this appointment. The Position of Leadership (POL 4) is offered as a 4-year tenure.
