This role is ideal for a motivated professional looking to contribute to financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting functions.About the company:Our client is a leading professional services provider specializing in comprehensive property and serviced office solutions tailored to legal professionals.Key Responsibilities:Ensure compliance with all financial policies and regulations.Support the preparation of annual accounts and budgets.Generate regular financial reports to support business performance.Conduct daily bank reconciliations and manage month-end accounting duties, including expenditure reviews, prepayments, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.Process invoices and EFT payments as required.Administer and manage the purchase order system, including user training and setup.Assist in the management of the online banking platform, including administration, user maintenance, BPAY/EFT payments, and intercompany fund transfers.Oversee the credit card program, including applications and expense postings.Manage the Fixed Asset Register and associated policies.Prepare BAS, PAYG, and annual FBT returns.Handle client account queries and grievances via calls and emails.Follow up on outstanding debts, arrange prepayments, and set up direct debits.Collaborate with the broader finance team to support daily accounting tasks, including accounts payable and receivable.Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and company policies.Liaise with external auditors for annual audits and key internal stakeholders regarding departmental performance.Qualifications and Experience:Tertiary qualification in Business or Accounting (Desirable)Advanced/Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.Skills and Competencies:Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to tasks.Self-starter with a proven ability to take initiative and deliver results.About the job:Contract Type: FULL_TIMESpecialism: Accountancy & FinanceFocus: Part Qualified AccountantSalary: AUD80,000 - AUD85,000 per annum + SuperWorkplace Type: On-siteExperience Level: AssociateLocation: Melbourne CBDJob Reference: 2051570/001Date posted: 28 March 2025Consultant: Zak WunhymCome join our global team of creative thinkers, problem solvers and game changers.
