Full-time, continuing position Located at the Townsville Bebegu Yumba campus, Douglas HEWL 5: $85,816 - $92,948 per annum plus up to 17% employer superannuation contributions, leave loading and other generous employee benefits This is a designated position for Australian Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. ABOUT THE ROLE Joining a passionate team in the Indigenous Education and Research Centre, you will play a fundamental role in helping Indigenous students overcome personal challenges and achieve academic success during their studies. Your responsibilities will include delivering expert pastoral and personal support services, assisting in the planning and delivery of pre-study programs that enhance student preparedness, and providing valuable advice on enrolment pathways, financial assistance options and other key supports available for students. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE To succeed in this role, you will need to have a degree qualification in a relevant field and a solid understanding of the challenges Indigenous students face in higher education. You bring strong administrative, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential for fostering supportive relationships with students and delivering early intervention support to address individual wellbeing and support needs. Experience working with data and learning technologies, and a current Working with Children Blue Card are also requirements of the role.
