Clubhouse is wanting to create an outdoor space for members with Mental Health conditions. We need to level the ground, lay pavers, plant, and create garden beds. You need to be strong and fit!
The Role
Volunteers need to be willing to get their hands dirty as there is manual labour involved. You should work well and communicate with members while working side by side to get the job done. Advantages if you have any of the following:
1. Some experience in landscaping or gardening
2. Construction/cabinetry experience as garden beds need building
3. A licence and access to a car or ute (parking is available)
You must be well organised, speak good English, and mature candidates are encouraged to apply.
Need to Know
This is a short-term position. Support will be given in the role.
At the Gold Coast Clubhouse, members and Clubhouse staff work side by side to carry out the day-to-day operations of running the Clubhouse. Focusing on strengths, potential, and possibility, membership is voluntary, and members are supported to participate in the work-ordered-day, build their skills and capacity, and contribute to the life and flair of the Clubhouse community.
Gold Coast Clubhouse is a member-led program that promotes mental health well-being by assisting members to connect, participate, and belong.
