This is an exciting time to join the team. The KAM is a Head Office based role in beautiful Yeppoon with field work and travel as required to the SEQ region on average one week in every 4-6 week cycle. Relocation assistance provided!
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, this role will focus on maintaining and growing current customers across the foodservice distributor channel and stable key end user customers (including some area-based corporate customers) specifically in SE QLD. Generating new business, building brand equity by selling from a ‘quality and service’ stance and actively promoting the company’s full range of products – including new-to-market Australian Beef brand Cattlemen’s – will be underpinned by a level of autonomy and responsibility that truly allows you to develop and implement strategies that increase account sales volumes, revenue, and profitability goals.
Responsibilities:
1. Ensuring the development of sustainable and long-term relationships with current and new regional as well as national accounts.
2. Maintain and develop key customers by regular account management.
3. Ongoing key account management with distributors and their team members at all levels, corporate customers - new partnerships, development and ongoing support, and end-user customers through regular and effective phone call cycles.
4. Contribute towards the development of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, monitor performance against targets and take timely action to correct under-budget performance.
5. Managing a portfolio of assigned customers to achieve long-term success and sales growth.
6. Actively fostering and maintaining positive and profitable relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
7. Actively negotiate for increased share to grow distribution of the products throughout key accounts and achieve this through strong relationships with key accounts as well as groups.
8. Build and foster strong customer relationships with clear targets, KPI’s and business plans.
9. Assist with the development and delivery of the sales strategy.
10. Excellent CRM input and management relating to your accounts.
Ideally, you are currently in a similar role focused on driving business through the foodservice channel and you are skilled in selling food products. With a genuine passion to impact the commercial strategies of a significant business, you are capable of making sound decisions and are renowned for your tenacity in ‘closing the deal’ and for building strong relationships with your customers. These have ideally been built and sustained because you have a genuine passion for food and are constantly looking out for new trends and identifying with your customers on this level.
This is an opportunity to really make your mark. You will be supported by a working environment and culture that would be arguably hard to equal in today’s business environment. An attractive remuneration that includes base salary, super and bonus opportunity will be offered to the successful candidate. A company car is on site for local travel. For interstate candidates, a relocation package will be offered as well.
