Our Rapid Geo Environmental Department is experiencing fast growth and facing a large demand for our services.This is a great opportunity for you to advance your career, work in a company that is truly concerned about its team well-being and not just profit.Rapid Geo Working Culture We pride ourselves on having a positive working culture, clear vision, mission, and established objectives and goals for our company.Rapid Geo is ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, and ISO 17025 accredited.We are heading to Tier 1 projects and need leadership and mentoring.We also pride ourselves on being a truly multicultural team, with a meritocratic approach to work which means that each individual's performance and talent is used to promote and reward, without any recourse to gender, race, class or nationality.About the Role: Senior Environmental Consultant (Contaminated Land Specialist) The right candidate would lead the Environmental Department in conjunction with the Director (an Environmental Engineer / LAA with over 16 years of experience).You will have full exposure to business strategies and be part of decision-making processes for the Department.We could fast forward your career to a Principal position within 12-24 months, based on experience, commitment to company goals, and performance.Full-time employment.Above market salary (e.g., based on experience).Salary is negotiable based on experience.Company car, including fuel and tolls.Flexible work from home/office option.About You At least 6+ years previous experience in the Contaminated Land Industry in Sydney, preferably within the construction sector.Lead end-to-end project delivery on all contaminated land projects of all scales.Be able to liaise with clients, prepare scope of works, price and lead a range of projects within the contaminated land industry.Be able to deliver, start to finish, the following: PSI, DSI, RAP, SVR, UST, Asbestos Assessments, Groundwater and Surface Water Assessment.Rapid Geo has a great pool of young and driven environmental consultants to assist in the field.Be able to perform fieldwork in order to train our young and driven environmental consultants.Be able to plan, resource, and control projects to ensure work is completed on time and within budget.Ability to coordinate resources and personnel on project tasks in accordance with budget forecasts meeting client's timeframe.Be able to maintain strong relationships with Rapid Geo's existing clients as well as develop new clients.Strong written and verbal communication skills, which includes good customer service and maintenance.Strong work ethic.Possess an ability to work cohesively within a team-driven environment.Possess Rail Industry Worker (RIW) card or ability to acquire it when required.An advantage for candidates working towards becoming a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP- SC or General).An advantage for candidates with Licensed Asbestos Assessor (LAA), Industrial Hygienist or OH&S Asbestos experience/qualifications (HAZMAT, Asbestos Removal Supervision, etc).
