Accounts and Payroll Assistant – Grow Your Career with Purpose at Disability Connect Victoria DCV is growing rapidly across the Gippsland region and are seeking a motivated individual to join our Accounts and Payroll team. The is a part-time position, requiring 22.8 hours per week across a minimum of three days. There is potential for this role to transition from part-time to full-time as the company grows. This is a flexible position for the successful candidate The position will be responsible for processing and delivering high quality accounts services, maintaining compliance with relevant legislation and aligning with DCV values. Some of the duties of this role include:Process accounts receivable and payable transactions accurately and efficiently.Maintain and update financial records.Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.Assist with month-end closing activities.Communicate with clients and suppliers regarding billing and payment enquiries, including debt collection.Weekly and monthly reporting.Payroll duties including ensuring timesheets, leave requests, payroll changes, records and other related material are completed prior to commencement of pay processing.Support the finance team with various administrative tasks as needed. Role requirements:Minimum of 2 years of experience working with Xero (or similar) accounting software is highly advantageous.Sound working knowledge and experience of accounts receivable, accounts payable processing.Intermediate MS Office skills, especially Excel.Strong attention to detail and organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and show initiative.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and in a team.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.Why Join DCV?DCV is a family owned and operated organisation providing industry leading support to people with disabilities across Gippsland and South Eastern Metro Melbourne.
