About the Role
Your role will be based at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH). As seen on our show on Australian national television, RPA is one of the nation's most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.
Perform echocardiographic studies within the Echocardiographic Laboratories in the Cardiology Department, Sydney Heart Centre and hospital wards including emergency settings such as the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratories, Coronary Care and Accident and Emergency Department. Responsible for high quality cardiac ultrasound service to patients and our referring clinicians.
Ideal Candidate
* Diploma of Medical Ultrasound (Cardiac) / Graduate Diploma in Cardiac Ultrasound or studying towards a recognised cardiac sonography course.
* Demonstrated experience in cardiac ultrasound (Echocardiography).
* Proven ability to interpret findings and make decisions about additional imaging as required during the course of each test as well as to recognise and communicate significant findings as required.
* Understanding and experience with various echocardiographic machines, their operation and day to day running and maintenance.
