Australia Wide Engineering Recruitment is part of the Australia Wide Personnel Group and is one of Australia's leading, specialised recruitment agencies. We’ve been operating for 45 years, we employ 27 staff internally, we have a highly professional team of Recruitment Consultants and we’re very financially sound with robust systems in place.
We’d like to appoint a Business Development Manager (BDM) to build our recruitment sales in Sydney - we believe there’s great scope for our service model in this market. In the short to medium term the BDM will be the only employee we have in NSW, although we may build a Sydney team in the longer term.
One of the strong unique selling points you will be able to use in this role is that all of our Engineering Recruitment Consultants are Engineers themselves, and we’ve trained them in recruitment. Our Consultants utilise their engineering expertise to drive high quality recruitment outcomes. Our clients respond very well to this business model and it sets us apart from a lot of our competitors.
Our Recruitment Consultants are all based in Melbourne and they successfully recruit for clients across Australia. The primary functions of your role will be:
6. To drive significant gross profit sales growth for Australia Wide Engineering Recruitment by selling to target companies in NSW.
7. Develop & manage ongoing client relationships at the account level.
8. Introduce all aspects of the Australia Wide group of companies to new clients.
9. Maximise the opportunities from worthwhile incoming client enquiries.
10. Introduce the client to the recruitment team once signed terms of business have been secured.
The role will be a “working from home” role although we expect a considerable part of each week will be spent on the road, visiting clients & prospects.

We will be offering an attractive package which includes base salary, commission and car allowance.
