The role: This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Nurse Educator to develop a new practice area for nurses in our new standalone Infectious Disease ward.
We have current capacity for 15 beds increasing to 18 in times of high demand.
This role will suit candidates with significant clinical expertise in Comprehensive Care Medical Nursing and the management of patients with infectious diseases such as COVID-19.
You will have experience in clinical learning and teaching to support nurses at all levels.
The CNE is accountable for applying nursing expertise and contemporary teaching and learning practice to develop and implement evidence-based education programs for nurses in line with the requirements of the Tasmania Health Service North West and the ward.

The team: The CNE will join a dedicated nursing education team committed to strong partnerships - within the education team and with our clinical units and our education partners, to deliver high quality education and patient outcomes.
We are committed to maintaining and extending our clinical competency within our domains of expertise.
Our Infectious Diseases ward is linked closely to our Comprehensive Care Medical Ward where our CNEs work with the support of Clinical Facilitators to support the education needs of our nursing teams.

Salary: $99,736- $106,036 per annum Our Employer 11% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
You'll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible.
In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type Professional Development Allowance of up to $500 per annum Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives Tasmanian State Service Agreement 2019 Eligibility: Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse Applicants should note the following criteria are highly desirable: Holds, or has made substantial progress towards, postgraduate qualifications in education and/or clinical teaching and learning Holds is willing to work towards postgraduate qualifications in the area of clinical/practice speciality as relevant to the position such as Public Health.
