Job summary: As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, designing, and overseeing the assembly, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems and components.
Your role will involve applying engineering principles to ensure the efficient, safe, and cost-effective operation of manufacturing processes.
You will work closely with clients, suppliers, and the production team to meet technical specifications and ensure the functionality and performance of mechanical systems.
Job Duties: • Design Mechanical Components: Design mechanical equipment and components for UTEs, focusing on functionality, cost-effectiveness, safety, and manufacturability to meet project requirements.
• Mechanical Analysis: Conduct stress analysis and simulations using engineering principles and tools (e.g., SolidWorks) to verify the strength, reliability, and safety of designs.
• Material Selection: Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes, considering factors such as durability, strength, cost-effectiveness, and suitability for assembly.
• Prototyping and Testing: Develop prototypes and conduct rigorous testing and inspections to ensure designs meet performance, strength, safety, and regulatory standards.
• Project Management: Oversee the assembly, installation, and operation of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project timelines, budgets, and quality requirements.
• Manufacturing Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure that components are produced according to design specifications.
Develop manufacturing specifications, including materials, processes, and equipment requirements.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all designs, processes, and operations comply with relevant safety regulations and engineering standards to minimize risks and ensure the safety of all personnel.
Qualification Requirements: • Bachelor's degree or higher in related field.
Skills and Experience Required: • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical engineering, with a focus on the design, analysis, and maintenance of mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) for mechanical design, simulation, and analysis.
• Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, including material selection, manufacturing processes, strength analysis, and structural integrity.
• Experience with engineering analysis tools (e.g., stress testing) to validate designs, ensure product durability, and meet safety standards.
• Knowledge of production processes and the ability to optimize manufacturing and assembly efficiency.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and technical specifications.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve complex engineering challenges.
• Strong understanding of quality control processes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance in mechanical engineering.
