As the Contracts Manager - Boxer Support you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
* Manage and administer Contracts primarily relating to the ongoing support and sustainment of the Boxer fleet in accordance with RDA policies and procedures, ensuring compliance to RDA's contracted terms and managing contractual risk;
* Assist with drafting and negotiating Contract changes, ensure Contract conformance, and administer changes into subcontracts;
* Monitor and report the performance of the Contracts and, where necessary, escalate issues and take corrective action;
* Provide advice and assistance to Project team members on all contracting and other commercial activities;
* Interface with customer counterparts to help ensure the timely and effective maintenance of the Boxer capability over its life;
* Actively support the Project Team in identification of opportunities to improve support processes and initiatives;
* Prepare procedures for contract administration and contract training modules; and
* Assist with review of tenders for new business and general contracting, and assist to the Commercial Manager, Commercial Director, and General Manager of Legal and Commercial as required.

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
* Prior contract management experience and/or experience negotiating and drafting contracts;
* Strong drafting skills and a sound understanding of contract law principles;
* High level of attention to detail;
* Proficient use of Microsoft Office Professional suite and SharePoint;
* Ability to think outside of the box and solution oriented;
* Prior Defence experience and understanding of ASDEFCON contracting (desirable not required); and
* Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
