About the role
The People & Culture Coordinator provides essential support across HR functions (with a focus on recruitment) and reports to the People & Culture Business Partner (Northern Territory). This role is ideal for a professional with 2 – 3 years of HR generalist experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. This is a full-time position and can be located in either Darwin or Brisbane.
What you’ll focus on:
1. Support the full life cycle of people processes including but not limited to recruitment (specifically mechanic and bus driver recruitment), onboarding, offboarding, performance management and employee engagement.
2. Maintain and update employee records in the HR databases ensuring accuracy, compliance and confidentiality.
3. Respond to employee enquiries regarding HR processes.
4. Collaborate with other departments to implement HR initiatives and support business goals.
5. HR administration tasks.
6. Any other duties as reasonably directed.
What you’ll bring:
1. Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role (high volume recruitment advantageous).
2. Tertiary qualifications in human resources or related field (preferred but not essential).
3. Highly organised, self-motivated with exceptional attention to detail.
4. Excellent time management skills.
5. Able to build and maintain strong rapports across various departments.
6. Ability to adapt to a changing environment.
7. Intermediate experience with Microsoft Suite of products.
8. HRIS experience advantageous.
9. Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
10. Well developed communication skills, both written and verbal.
