We are looking for a Junior Accountant to work in our SA Studio to assist in various accounting functions, including maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and supporting senior accountants in period-end closing processes. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to grow their accounting career and develop a strong foundation in financial management.
The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a passion for providing excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reportsMaintain accurate and up-to-date accounting recordsProcess accounts payable and receivable transactionsSupport in monthly closing proceduresAssist in the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filingsPrepare and analyse financial data to identify discrepancies or variancesAssist in the preparation of budgets and forecastsProvide general administrative support to the finance team as neededTo be successful in this role, you should have the below skills set: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field is desirableMinimum 3 years exposure to accounts payable and/or accounts receivableProven knowledge of accounting principles and practicesMYOB experience is desirableStrong attention to detail and accuracyExcellent organizational and time-management skillsAbility to work effectively in a team environmentStrong communication skills (both written and verbal)At Hames Sharley, we place significant emphasis on fostering a healthy balance between professional responsibilities and personal well-being.
