Barmera Health Service is seeking a dedicated Direct Care Attendant to join our supportive team.
This is an exciting opportunity to use your skills in a meaningful way while helping those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities: Assist with personal care tasks, including bathing, showering, hygiene, and grooming.
Help with toileting, continence management, and mobility support.
Provide assistance with transferring clients using mechanical aids and supporting their mobility.
Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of clients' environments, including personal laundry and equipment.
Support clients in self-administration of medication and assist with routine treatments.
Assist clients with special needs, such as pressure care, in a respectful and person-centred manner.
Work collaboratively with other staff to provide excellent care and ensure clients' well-being.
What We're Looking For: Ability to work well within a team, with effective communication skills and a compassionate attitude.
Proven experience in handling diverse situations and working with people from various backgrounds.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage tasks efficiently.
A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and discretion.
Experience in using basic computer software (e.g.
Microsoft Word, Excel) and willingness to learn.
