Role Description/Criteria
We are seeking a teacher committed to developing their professional knowledge and skills for the benefit of the students in their care.
Applicants must be able to:
• demonstrate a strong commitment to the ideals and ethos of Catholic Education
• contribute as a member of a Professional Learning Team, planning and teaching in a collaborative environment focused on continual improvement
• teach effectively to the diverse range of learning needs enriching the learning for all students
• use data to inform teaching
• have the ability to inspire and encourage students with a love of learning
• demonstrate a commitment to and understanding of contemporary learning and teaching
• plan, teach, assess, and report to class teachers on the Physical Education and Sports program using the Victorian Curriculum as the main reference
• set a budget, monitor and purchase Physical Education equipment/resources
• coordinate and oversee the School Athletics and Footy Fun Day
• assist senior school class teachers with inter-school sports
• Coordinate school representatives for zone and regional swimming; cross-country; athletics
• attend appropriate professional development and share information with staff
• demonstrate a high level of interpersonal skills with colleagues, parents, and students
• be committed to personal and professional growth
• have registration (or eligibility) with V.I.T
• preferably have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School.
Applicants should include a cover letter, resume and two referees, including their current Principal.
