ABOUT THE ROLE
The EAL/AMEP teacher, Foundation College provides professional teaching and vocational expertise, across all aspects of delivery, planning and performance to ensure excellent outcomes for learners, the organisations that employ them and the communities they serve.
The position focuses on excellence in learner support, teaching delivery and learning assessment, resource development and educational administration.
The incumbent is a key and active participant of Foundation College and works to promote educational excellence, business growth and student-centred services for the Foundation College team.
Your key accountabilities will be to:
* Plan education practices and delivery sessions that reflect the most effective way to engage learners
* Develop and deliver planned teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles
* Design and develop teaching and learning resources including tailored materials in a range of formats to suit varying learning styles
* Enhance the student experience to improve engagement early on and assist learners to interact with their academic and social environment to prevent attrition and encourage success
* Work with learners to improve their employability and life skills
* Complete workplace visits during workplace/clinical placements to support students and enhance learner skills
* Ensure high-quality, up-to-date and relevant teaching delivery, assessment and student engagement strategies to support learner success and contribute to the achievement of Chisholm’s shared goals.
ABOUT YOU
You will have;
* Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or qualification that meets the standards for RTO 2015)
* Relevant a tertiary qualification in a 3-year Australian undergraduate degree or equivalent
* Postgraduate in TESOL qualification in adult education (please see attached Position Description for further details)
* hold registration with VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) or a current Employee Working With Children Check.
In addition to this, you will enjoy working collaboratively within a diverse team, and be highly motivated with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
