About The Role
As a Home Care Worker, you will be providing personalised home care support to older Australians who reside around Yeppoon, Emu Park and Zilzie to assist them to remain living independently in their home, you will travel between our client’s homes so a willingness to travel is essential.
This is a casual opportunity for 10-15 hours per week, between 7am to 5pm Monday to Friday with no evening or sleepover shifts. You will joining one of Australia’s leading social purpose providers with a dedicated leadership team to support you. This is a great opportunity for someone that is considering a change and looking to make a positive impact in their community.
Key Responsibilities
* Build positive relationships with clients
* Domestic assistance such as meal preparation and light house cleaning
* Personal Care including grooming and showering
* Community access to medical appointments and social activities
* Supporting with tasks and routines
Skills & Experience
* Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
* An Australian Driver’s Licence and ownership of a registered vehicle
* Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
* A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant pre-employment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check.
To be considered for and appointed to a position at Life Without Barriers, you must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 with a minimum of two (2) doses or hold a valid medical exemption certificate, in accordance with Life Without Barriers Employee COVID-19 Vaccination Policy. You will be required to provide evidence of your vaccination status during the recruitment process.
