ABOUT THE POSITION
In this role, you will play a key part in the planning and oversight of major projects. You will manage civil engineering specifications, prepare detailed reports, and oversee the tendering process. Ensuring that designs are delivered on time and meet all relevant standards will be a core responsibility. You'll also maintain regular communication with key clients and stakeholders to facilitate smooth project coordination. As an integral member of the leadership team, you'll contribute to strategic decisions and shape the company’s direction. Additionally, you'll mentor junior engineers, sharing your expertise to support their growth and development.
DUTIES
1. Design projects using Civil software such as MUSIC, DRAINS, 12D and AutoCAD
2. Prepare comprehensive Civil Engineering reports
3. Take control of planning and delivering all projects from start to finish
4. Conduct site inspections and liaise with relevant stakeholders
5. Train and develop junior team members
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering is essential
2. Advanced proficiency in HECRAS, TUFLOWS and DRAINS is desirable
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4. Strong verbal and written communication skills for team and client liaising
5. Excellent knowledge of Australian Standards & Council design standards
