Public Programs develops and delivers programs onsite, offsite and online through exhibitions – touring, temporary and permanent – lifelong learning programs, school programs and digital experiences.Are you dedicated to helping Australian students learn more about our shared histories? This might just be the job for you - as our Education Coordinator you will contribute to developing, delivering and evaluating educational experiences and resources for school students across the country.The successful candidate will be required to work full-time on site at our Parkes office.Under general direction the main duties of the role are to:Develop, deliver and evaluate high-quality, curriculum-aligned learning resources and experiences for students and teachers, including on-site programs, digital programs, classroom activities, short classroom videos and teacher professional learning programs.Lead the delivery of school programs, applying best-practice pedagogy and differentiating delivery for diverse groups of learners.Coach a team of visitor service officers in their delivery of school programs through the development and implementation of staff training programs and the provision of 1-to-1 feedback.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to progress education projects and raise the profile of National Archives’ education programs and resources.Manage school program bookings and complete administrative tasks, reporting and evaluation as required.Apply the principles of APS Values, Code of Conduct, workplace diversity, and work health and safety within a work and team environment.Relevant tertiary qualifications in education and/or demonstrated experience delivering education programs in a cultural institution are desirable.To be eligible for the role you must be an Australian citizen.If you are selected, you will be required to successfully undergo a pre-employment check and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance at a Baseline clearance level.The successful applicant must have the ability to obtain and retain a Working with Vulnerable People registration and be willing to work flexible hours on occasion.How to applyYou need to apply through our e-recruitment system.
