About the Role
Our Risk Actuarial team assists clients in all facets of risk management. We focus on areas including modelling risk for measurement and management purposes and we cover industry challenges in banking, general insurance and life insurance. We deliver large scale Actuarial programs, helping clients improve the way they operate, reduce costs, manage risks, leverage talent, or fundamentally change the way they do business. And our team is expanding. We're looking for a Manager to support clients on managing financial risk and be involved in delivery of crucial business insights within our vast community of solvers.

We work from anywhere, so your strong communication skills and team ethos will get a workout. You'll learn plenty as you apply your knowledge of Risk Actuarial to deliver key business outcomes for our clients, with a continued focus on quality in a workplace that's human-led and tech-enabled.
As a banking expert in risk within our Risk Actuarial team, you'll work with like-minded individuals, you'll get a breadth of experience across external client-facing projects and collaborate internally with other PwC teams. Given your experience you can help clients across a range of industries such as banking and financial services.
You'll help solve complex problems by using your skills in:
Retail or wholesale credit risk modelling and quantitative analysis including experience in modelling on topics such as provisioning (e.g. AASB 9), regulatory capital requirements (e.g. AIRB approaches to estimating PD, LGD and EAD), credit pricing and portfolio / customer analytics;
Practical exposure to prudential regulatory requirements and their implementation;
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills and enjoy working with clients to support on a range of projects;
Strong communication, project management and stakeholder management skills;
Working well in teams and can support and develop more junior team members in a high-performing and caring work environment; and
You hold a MSc / BSc (Hons) in Statistics / Actuarial Science / Financial Mathematics or Applied Mathematics as well as have programming capabilities in SAS / R / Python / SQL.
