The Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's largest tertiary referral centre, and our clinical pharmacy team comprised of specialist pharmacists, rotational pharmacists and leadership roles forms the largest division of the pharmacy department.
The Manager - Clinical Pharmacy will manage the provision of a safe and efficient clinical pharmacy service to inpatients of the Royal Hobart Hospital, in accordance with the practice frameworks established by the Statewide Pharmacy Manager Clinical Pharmacy, participate in the management of the pharmacy service at the Royal Hobart Hospital and supervise team members and provide leadership and performance management.

Our pharmacists collaborate closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams to deliver exceptional, patient-centered, medicine-related care.

The Role: The Manager - Clinical Pharmacy will:
Manage the provision of a safe and efficient clinical pharmacy service to inpatients of the Royal Hobart Hospital, in accordance with the practice frameworks established by the Statewide Pharmacy Manager Clinical Pharmacy.Participate in the management of the pharmacy service at the Royal Hobart Hospital.Supervise team members and provide leadership and performance management.You will need: Extensive experience in the provision of clinical pharmacy services in a range of practice settings that align with contemporary clinical pharmacy service models.Experience in leading clinical pharmacy services in a hospital setting and demonstrated knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, and workplace guidelines applicable to the practice of pharmacy in a public hospital, together with experience in the management of performance and supervision of teams.Track record of using initiative in the implementation of practices and projects directed towards good medication management principles.Details of appointment: Permanent part time, day worker position, working 30.4 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Salary: $123,717 to $138,296 per annum (Pro rata).
Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.

Registered with the Pharmacy Board of AustraliaTertiary qualification/program of study approved by the Pharmacy Board of Australia or completion of an overseas qualification eligible for skills assessment through the Australian Pharmacy Council*Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment.
