A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Human Resources (HR) Business Partner to join our team. The Human Resources (HR) Business Partner role will be accountable for defining and driving a people agenda which will enable delivery of the business strategy and high-performance culture. A trusted partner, this role works with the business leaders to ensure that people initiatives help the business to attract, develop and retain talent.
OUR TEAM
The Australian Munitions teams in Benalla and Mulwala produce propellants, explosives and munitions for defence and commercial uses. With ongoing investment into research and development, we produce some of the world’s most high-performing guided weapons and explosive ordnance systems. And being at the forefront of a rapidly evolving industry gives our teams constant opportunities to build on their technical expertise.
YOUR ROLE
Initially working at both our Benalla site on Taungurung land, and our Mulwala site on Pangerang land, before being based at Mulwala, your role purpose is to:
1. Drive and challenge change through the Country Business Unit (CBU) or Function, by partnering with key stakeholders to deliver the underpinning People Plan.
2. Understand, evaluate and recommend mechanisms (or processes and systems) that result in a high-performance culture.
3. Drive and influence leaders, managers and employees to embrace organisational change and the shift to a high-performance culture.
4. Innovate HR solutions and provide thought leadership to meet the long and short-term objectives of the business.
5. Analyse the external environment, business and people-related trends to identify and act on opportunities and threats.
6. Provide advice and consultancy to Line Managers on people management issues and case management services.
7. Provide data-driven insights to the leadership team and relevant HR function that underpin the business and people strategy.
8. Shape and drive initiatives creating higher employee engagement with the HR and Leadership teams.
9. Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and Company HR requirements.
YOUR EXPERIENCE
To be successful in your role, you will have demonstrated and/or acquired the following knowledge and experience:
1. Tertiary qualification in Human Resources or related field an advantage or equivalent experience.
2. Employee Relations Experience.
3. Business Acumen.
4. Strategic Partnering.
5. Leadership and Change Champion.
6. Perform Through Teamwork.
7. Talent and Capability Builder.
8. Background in change management principles and practices.
9. Strong experience in the development and delivery of HR strategy and projects.
10. Experience negotiating/supporting Enterprise Agreement negotiation.
