Who are we?
As part of Thales Australia, Australian Munitions is the largest domestic manufacturer of explosive ordnance to the Australian Defence Force, with a successful track record delivering ammunition, propellants, explosives and related services including acid production and industrial waste treatment to Defence and commercial markets. This role operates on a 9 day fortnight typically between 6:30am – 3:30pm. Some overtime is available and there is a possibility of shift work in future.
Your role:
Working at our Benalla site, on Yorta Yorta Land, your day to day responsibilities include:
11. Fault finding, preventive maintenance, and continuous improvement activities on complex equipment (Milling & Lathe Machinery)
12. Repair, overhaul, and testing of equipment, including installation and fault diagnosis
13. Interpretation of drawings and sketches
14. Ad hoc manufacturing of materials and parts
15. Participation in building, HSE Quality, and ISO audits and maintenance of effective and safe working practices
16. Encouragement of continuous improvement in production and project activities
17. Completion of risk assessments, hazard assessments, and on-the-job training of apprentices
Your experience:
18. Holding an Australian recognised Trade Qualification & License
19. Pneumatics & Hydraulics
20. Prior experience with Late and Milling Machine operation
21. High Risk Work licenses – Elevated work platform and forklift
22. Experience in manufacturing environment
