The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a compassionate individual who will clean and maintain BVSC's Companion Animal Facility (CAF) (Dog and Cat Pound) and provide sustenance and care for all animals housed within the facility.
As a Companion Animal Facility Cleaner and Carer, you will clean the cattery and dog kennels as well as stock animal food supplies. You will liaise with the Ranger Coordinator in regards to the temperament and behaviour of impounded animals for rehoming assessment purposes.
We are seeking an individual who has their current NSW Class C Drivers Licence and demonstrated skills in animal handling and management.
You will have the following skills and experience :
* Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
* Demonstrated competence in cleaning and sanitation skills in an animal boarding facility or similar type of environment. Three (3) years' experience. (Indicative)
* Additional skills, knowledge and qualifications that may be applicable to this position, such as knowledge and understanding of the Companion Animal Act (1997), HLTAID003 - Provide first aid (Unit of Competency), skills in animal breed assessment, or other specialist training or work experience.
This is a permanent part-time position working 6 hours per week.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $64,323.01 gross per annum (paid pro-rata), comprising of :
* 127.58 per week superannuation (calculated at 11.5%)
