Working within our Corporate division, you'll join a collaborative, cohesive team directly contributing to the success of our business every day.Our Corporate Tax team is currently seeking a Senior Tax Advisor to join us at our Head Office in Victoria Park, WA. Reporting to the Corporate Tax Manager, this key role involves providing strategic tax advice and guidance to senior management and the business, as well as responsibility for tax management, reporting, and compliance processes. This opportunity is a 12 month fixed term contract position. Key responsibilities:
1. Provide advice and solutions to the business on all tax matters for a diverse portfolio, including new joint ventures, international tax structuring, transfer pricing considerations, due diligence and structuring for potential acquisition opportunities, input into tenders and tax modelling for new or existing foreign investments in countries such as Papua New Guinea, New Zealand, USA, Chile, Peru, Mongolia, China and Hong Kong.
2. Provide advice to the CFO, Group Financial Controller, Finance Manager and Corporate Tax Manager on key changes in tax legislation and reporting requirements, Double Tax Agreements, cashflow planning, tax governance and tax risk management, and transfer pricing requirements.
3. Manage the coordination and management of external tax reviews and audits of the Australian and foreign companies, and liaise directly with the Australian Tax Office, foreign tax authorities, and external tax advisers as required.
4. Oversee the process for the Group's consolidated and standalone tax effect accounting calculations and financial statements for the year-end and half-year reporting periods.
5. Manage the annual and monthly tax compliance for the Australian and foreign companies, and coordinate with external tax advisers (e.g. Consolidated tax return and supporting schedules, Country by Country Reporting, Local File and Master File, transfer pricing documentation, joint venture tax returns, GST, PAYGI, WHT, Fuel Tax Credits, Payroll Tax).
6. Prepare tax technical papers and provide technical support and guidance to the Finance and Tax team, Commercial Managers and key internal stakeholders.
7. Improve the Group's tax compliance and reporting activities by helping deliver process automation and data analytics opportunities.
8. Project management within our 6-person Tax team and our wider Finance team.

What you will bring
12. Tertiary level education and postgraduate qualification (CA, CPA, CTA or Masters of Tax).
13. 10 years experience in corporate income tax in a professional services firm (manager level and above) or a similar role within a large company.
14. Strong technical and legislative knowledge and strong problem-solving skills.
15. Excellent interpersonal, leadership, and verbal communications skills, and an ability to develop a strong rapport with key internal and external stakeholder relationships.
16. Proven ability to analyse and communicate financial information in an insightful way.
17. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
