We are seeking Active Night Residential Care Workers to join our team in providing therapeutic care and support to our Young People in our residential houses located across the Geelong area.
As an Active Night Residential Care Worker at MacKillop, you will work collaboratively to provide a safe and nurturing home for Young People and be passionate about their wellbeing. Residential Care Workers respond to Young People's emotional and functional needs, support the development of their personal skills, undertake household duties such as cleaning and engage in administrative tasks such as updating reports and records.
Whilst previous experience working with Young People is preferred, we encourage individuals without prior experience who are passionate about making a difference in Young People's lives to apply.
Ideally, you will be able to work a mix of shifts including dayshifts, sleepovers, active nights, weekdays, and weekends.
Our Offer: Hourly Rate of $34.46 to $40.05 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 2-3 dependent on qualification and experience. Penalty and allowances are applied on top of the hourly rate. To be successful in this role: A Certificate IV in Child, Youth and Family Intervention (Residential and Out of Home Care) or other similar or relevant tertiary qualifications or a commitment to enrolling into course. A genuine interest in Young People and their wellbeing. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage well with Young People. Ability to work collaboratively with other staff and professionals. A demonstrated understanding of, and respect for cultural and linguistic background including a commitment to cultural safety. Requirements: Valid and current Driver's Licence; Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop); Valid Employee Working with Children Check; Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application).
