In this role, you will be responsible for providing operational support to the Buyer with a focus on business management and problem solving, and executing the responsibilities for the product category.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Write purchase orders and manage the purchase order process with vendors, including follow ups
2. Article creations and ensuring SAP reflects accurate article details.
3. Ensure all mark ups and markdown management is completed and ensure SAP reflects correct pricing
4. Ensure relevant administrative tasks are completed in a timely manner on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
5. Use merchandise reports to provide ongoing analysis and interpretation of key business issues
6. Sample Management and promotional activity administration
7. Maintain communication with vendors and internal teams to ensure on time shipments.
8. Maintain external relationships with all suppliers and overseas buying agents
9. Manage supplier contact details.
The preferred candidate will have the following experience and attributes:
10. We’re looking for a person with 1 – 2 years’ experience in a Retail background working in a support office environment and/or store environment
11. Demonstrated experience in using MS Office suite; intermediate excel skills, word, PowerPoint etc
12. Strong organization skills and attention to detail
13. Strong analytical skills to create data driven decisions
14. Ability to communicate well and build relationships with relevant stakeholders
