The Opportunity:
MWT Australia is seeking a dedicated Registered Midwife to join a prominent hospital organization in Melbourne East, Victoria. Full-time roles are available.
As a Registered Midwife, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality healthcare services to residents while ensuring their well-being and comfort.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist and support women during labour and delivery, providing emotional and physical support
* Provide care and support to mothers and newborns immediately after birth
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including assessments, care plans, and progress notes
* Work closely with obstetricians, paediatricians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
* Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
* Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Maintain clear and concise medical records and documentation.
* Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and colleagues.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery or equivalent qualification
* AHPRA registration
* Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
* Strong clinical assessment and decision-making abilities
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
* Minimum 2 years experience in a related healthcare setting is preferred but not mandatory.
