The role
The Senior Information and Development Officer contributes to the development and delivery of training and education activities related to the management of executive correspondence to ensure the provision of high quality, timely, coordinated advice and information for the Minister and the Director-General.
Your key responsibilities:
1. Provide professional advice and undertake activities related to the continual review of processes and procedures associated with correspondence, briefings and other documentation in aligning with government and organisational initiatives, policies and departmental standards and guidelines.
2. Maintain a strong knowledge of the Department's activities to assist with appropriate issues management.
3. Provide effective liaison with the Minister's Office, Office of the Director-General, Department of Health and Hospital and Health Services related to the effective management of executive correspondence.
4. Provide ad hoc project management support to the Senior Departmental Liaison Officer and broader MESU team.
