You will help to shape future opportunities, oversee contract responses, support technical hiring and project mobilisation, delivery and closure of projects.You will also provide advice and guidance to the Director on defence engineering related technologies data and trends.
You will inform and shape the corporate level view, propose R&D investment and promote cross-business technical collaboration.A brief snapshot of what you will be involved includes:Maintain and uplift engineering processes and tools within the projectWorking with the Security Engineering Manager on workforce planningManaging Technical Authorisations within the projectParticipating in technical hiring, to bring the best people into the company, with the right skills and experience across a variety of domains.Leading security architecture and technical inputs for proposals, solutions development and ensuring cohesion across the projectsProviding engineering oversight and a single point of contact for engineering resources on projects in deliveryLeading or contributing to business and technical strategy and on contract growth initiativesContinuous improvement of services through people, process and technologyCoaching and mentoring of technical teams to grow and develop knowledge and skillsEnsure strong collaboration with Operations and Service Delivery, Governance Risk and Compliance, Vulnerability and Security Operations Centre teams.Supporting Directors with engineering advice to treat current issues and future plans.You will represent Leidos as a Chief Engineer in key engagements with clients including contract negotiations and solution presentationYou will work across the business but also delve deep into vexing technical and program challenges to propose and collaboratively facilitate effective outcomes within the business and with clients.QualificationsAbout You and What You'll BringMinimum of an NV1 Clearance and ability to obtain an NV2Technical experience with IT systems and Cyber Security EngineeringWillingness to obtain an industry recognised engineering membership and certificationExperience leading large teams of engineers (design and integration) to deliver defence capability to an ADF customer.Project Management qualifications or experience is highly desirableWhilst you will be a passionate advocate of engineering, you will understand business imperatives and be able to communicate with all levels and departments – representing engineering and related technical issues in a way that can be understood by relevant audiences.Additional InformationApplicants will be required to be an Australian Citizen, hold and maintain an NV2 Australian Government Security Clearance and may also need to meet International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements.
