: As Project Officer, within the Built Form Team, you will assist a multi-disciplinary team under broad direction of the Senior Development Managers, in the delivery of complex land development projects that demonstrate sustainable built form outcomes and support the delivery of broader SLA objectives.
The Thriving Communities Branch is made up of the following functions:
1. Engaged Communities, including community development & engagement, stakeholder relations, marketing, and stakeholder engagement;
2. Sustainable Communities, including sustainability, place management, placemaking, and sales & client services;
3. Housing Choice; and
4. Built Form.

This position sits within the Built Form team responsible for:
5. Showcase sustainable development outcomes across the urban transect
6. Demonstrate housing and built form typologies the market is currently not delivering
7. Partner with industry to deliver high-quality design and innovative built form outcomes
8. Apply exemplar project governance for collaboration, transparency and accountability.
Responsibilities include:
9. Provide records management, project and procurement/contract administration support for sustainable built form projects, including (but not limited) to:Obtaining necessary approvals;Preparing, implementing and monitoring project plans and support project management activities;Supporting procurement processes including coordinating design, planning, business planning, minor civil engineering and major landscape contracts; andPreparing, managing and monitoring consultant briefs and project budgets.
10. Manage small projects and consultancies, with minimal supervision.
11. Undertake research related to innovative and sustainable built form outcomes, including research on contemporary planning, design and construction, placemaking, housing choice, landscape and delivery models, as relevant to the Built Form program.
12. Analyse and identify risks and develop associated risk management plans, and undertake regular risk reviews for allocated projects.
13. Draft reports, briefs, correspondence, and operational planning and project management documents relevant to the Built Form program.
14. Assist in project-based community and stakeholder consultations, including preparation of materials, event coordination, and face to face community discussions.
15. Showing initiative and commitment to sustainable built form excellence, collaboration and innovation, and actively contribute to and engage with other teams and the overall work program of the Branch and liaise effectively with Agency staff, external organisations, consultants and contractors.

Eligibility/other requirements:
Highly Desirable
16. Tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience in a related field such as: Project/Contract Management, Building and Construction Management, Property Law, Built Environment, Urban Design, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Urban Planning.
17. Experience in property or land development disciplines or urban planning and design.
18. Workplace Health and Safety Induction (White Card) or willingness to obtain;
19. Asbestos awareness card or a willingness to obtain - Asbestos Awareness Training and evidence of completion delivered by a Registered Training Organisation is required before commencement, for further information refer to:
