Job Description As our City Facility Manager, you'll be responsible for delivering NEXTDC's brand promise of 100% uptime to our customers, by successfully maintaining an assigned portfolio of NEXTDC data centres within New South Wales. This position effectively manages senior members within the facility team and providesday-to day support to enable their success of maintaining grey-space areas to a high standard, and for white-space areas to be provisioned in accordance with customer requirements and expectations. Within this role you'll also promote and embed continuous improvement principles within the team to ensure NEXTDC's data centres remain to be at the forefront of customer service excellence and innovation. People Management Embed a high performing culture within the team Ensure complete resourcing of team members across the assigned portfolio, accounting for customer requirements, maintenance and commissioning scheduling requirements and safety protocols. Facilitate the teams' development through identifying learning and development opportunities, coaching and on-the-job training Manage operational risk of the facilities within the assigned portfolio to ensure 100% uptime Obtain and maintain relevant data centre certifications for the facilities within the assigned portfolio, including ISO90001, ISO270001, ISO140001, ISO45001 Ensure operational excellence to achieve and maintain UTI uptime operational sustainability Gold standard Manage the Operational budget of the facilities within the assigned portfolio to ensure critical plant is maintained at optimum efficiency, and coordinate the implementation of tuning where required Manage the facility capacity planning to forecast and maximise capital investment Oversee the maintenance and operation of your facilities critical infrastructure, including but not limited to electrical and mechanical systems to ensure there is no deferred maintenance Identify and report all operational, security and WHS incidents Assist in the identification and management of risks listed in the Site Risk Register. Proactively report and escalate any identified risks that are unable to be managed to Head of Facility Management. Conduct regular reviews with the Services Manager to ensure all staff, contractors and stakeholders are being informed of their obligations and associated responsibilities in regards to facility related risks (as per PTW) Qualifications Extensive knowledge of all aspects of data centres including electrical and mechanical configurations, rack management, design and installation Understanding of high-density data centre power, cooling approaches and technologies Extensive knowledge of building services (Structural, DRUPS/UPS, HV/LV switchgear, Electrical Design, Generators, Security Systems, HVAC, Fire, Security, EMS, BMS) Extensive knowledge of cabling & cable management and quality inspection/assurance Understanding of and the ability to apply ITIL best practises Experience with operational reporting (including incident and technical change management), capacity planning and budget forecasting Experience with Contract & Resource Management.
